Been looking through your books and like the sound of some, but I'm wary of anything post 1950s as so often littered with bad language, sex and politically correct themes. I love Hardy, Steinbeck, Conrad, Buchan, CP Snow, Forster, Eliot, Melville, Dickens, Greene, Wyndham, Shute, Lessing, Spark, Carre, etc. Do you have anything in your stock to recommend a confirmed prude like me or should I stick to charity shops?
Oh Alex, there is lots for you, why don't you treat yourself to a copy of The Man Who Planted Trees? I think you will love it. It's a very special book.
