And so, tomorrow I will close the doors on my first venture into bookselling when my little pop-up shop leaves The Bloom Foundry, and what have I learnt? Seven weeks ago, I knew nothing about selling books. Just a few weeks before that, I had not even had the seed of an idea of setting up my own indie bookstore, and so the first answer as to what I have learnt is …. one hell of a lot.

I have loved reading your posts. What a long way you’ve come. I’ve learned so much too. I suspect many of us reading also have the dream of running an indie bookshop not knowing half the reality - which now we do! It sounds like you still have the dream alive and I hope that dream becomes reality for you. Do keep writing for us. I hope you have a restful Christmas and get some well earned reading done.
